The [‘skai]-lab cooperation project reached a significant milestone last week with the successful completion of its first Summer School. Held at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), the event brought together doctoral researchers and supervisors from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the DLR Institute of Electrified Aero Engines, and BAM.

From September 7 to 11, 2026, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will host the Summer School “Characterization of micro- and nano-materials”. Interested doctoral researchers can register until August 14, 2026.

In these English-language online workshops, PhD students and postdocs at BTU receive an introduction to using LaTeX for academic publications and to the basics of AI.

In the winter semester 2026/2027, the Graduate Research School (GRS) will offer a workshop series on »Data Science with R«. PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines can gain valuable skills for both research and the job market. Our partner, eoda GmbH, offers a joint certificate upon completion of all sessions.

A new project by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung) in cooperation with CERN offers students and doctoral researchers in technical disciplines early access to international cutting-edge research.
