The Test für Deutsch als Fremdsprache - TestDaF - is an international, central and standardised language test at level B2/C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is recognised by all universities and colleges in Germany as proof of linguistic ability to study.

BTU has been a licensed test centre for the TestDaF since September 2022.

The digital TestDaF consists of four test sections: reading, listening, writing and speaking. You work on all parts of the exam on the computer. Short answers in the Listening section and texts for the Writing section are typed on the keyboard. You also use the computer for the speaking part: you listen to the task and a fictitious interlocutor via headphones. Your answers will be recorded.
