New project launched for sustainable living and working environments for older people

In rural areas in particular, shrinkage and demographic change are coming up against the rapidly advancing requirements of the transformation towards a climate-neutral and digital society. Older people, in particular, are affected in the areas of public services, health, care and agriculture. This poses major challenges for local stakeholders.

Jana Schäfer, postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, examines the social scaffolding that constructs categories of victims and perpetrators and classifies them into hierarchies of compassion and attention.
