A valuable step for the European networking of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg: The "1st International EUNICE Symposium for Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning" took place on November 27, 2025, as part of the European University Alliance EUNICE.

In a festive welcome event today, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) welcomed 21 new DAAD scholarship holders from a total of 14 countries.

The first onboarding event for new doctoral candidates at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg proved to be a successful networking event that made a significant contribution to the participants getting to know each other and exchanging ideas.

People encounter discrimination in many forms - consciously or unconsciously, in everyday life, in institutions or in their own thought patterns. The two-part event series "Space for Diversity" and "Safer Spaces" will create places for sensitisation and empowerment. Start is Friday, 14 November 2025.

Dipannita came to Cottbus from India to study World Heritage Studies (Master of Arts) at BTU. She has recently graduated.

Sebastian and Anne Groß studied Architecture at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. In 2016, they went to Japan on a DAAD scholarship. They now work independently there in their GROSS studio. We interviewed the two of them.

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is delighted to welcome numerous new exchange students again this year.

From 22-24 September 2025, representatives from administration, business and science from the Polish coal mining region of Katowice learned about structural change in Lusatia and explored opportunities for future research cooperation with BTU.

The Central Language Facility (ZES) offers a wide range of foreign language courses to support internationalization at the university and in the region, as well as within the framework of the EUNICE university alliance.
