Circa 70 future-oriented study programmes are available to interested young people at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). Two new Bachelor's and six Master's degree programmes will be offered for the first time in the upcoming winter semester 2025/26, half of them in English.

Valuable insights into intercultural communication and strategies for coping with culture shocks were offered at the intercultural workshop organized by the International Relations Office. Experience reports from former exchange students rounded off the theoretical part with real-life examples.

On Sunday, 22 June 2025, from 12 noon, Puschkinpark will be the meeting place for friends of the intercultural festival that BTU students from 15 countries have put together with Cottbus associations for the city festival. The colourful mix of Singing, dancing and culinary delights has long since become a tradition.

Five of the winners of the international and interdisciplinary pitch competition visited Cottbus, LEAG and the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg from 19 to 23 May 2025.

The EUNICE Student Advisory Board (ESAB) at BTU is of particular importance in this regard. The ESAB is a student body within the EUNICE alliance whose main objectives are to advise and support the management of the alliance and to raise awareness of EUNICE in the student community.

On 21 May 2025, a five-member Chinese delegation from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), led by President Prof. ZHU Xinyuan, visited the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in Cottbus.

As part of the Cottbus European Talks, representatives from politics and society will be discussing the topic of "Lusatia as Europe's first "Net Zero Valley"" on Friday, 16 May 2025, from 3 p.m. at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

On the occasion of Europe Day on May 9, 25 the Europe Weeks will take place for the 4th time. The BTU, the city of Cottbus and numerous cooperation partners have prepared a colorful programme with many exciting events on the topic of Europe in the month of May. The aim is to promote the European idea, facilitate intercultural exchange and celebrate common values.
