Discover the Lausitz Science Park at the Decarbon Days

From 26 to 28 June, the Cleantech Festival will take place for the first time in the future Cottbus Business and Science Park. Visitors can experience the Lausitz Science Park (LSP) in a variety of ways - at the information stand in Hangar 1, on a Lost Places Tour by bike or on foot during a digital scavenger hunt.

LSP information stand - talk to the teams from LSP, DLR and chesco

During the three-day Decarbon Days, all interested parties are cordially invited to the LSP information stand in Hangar 1. In addition to the BTU project "Lausitz Science Park", the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) with its two institutes based in Cottbus and the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) will also be presenting themselves here. Visitors have the opportunity to find out about electrified air drives, low-CO₂ industrial processes and technologies for climate-friendly mobility.

Lost Places Tour - guided exploration by bike

The LSP team is offering a sporty change of pace between the numerous panels, pitches and podium talks with the guided Lost Places bike tour to forgotten and hidden corners of the old airfield site - where the past and innovation merge.

The one-hour tours are free of charge for Decarbon Days visitors, and bicycles are also provided. As the number of participants is limited, please register at the LSP information stand in Hangar 1.

Dates:

Friday, 27 June: 12:00 | 15:00 | 18:30
Saturday, 28 June: 10:30 | 13:00

LSP Discovery Quest - digital scavenger hunt for young and old

The LSP Discovery Quest, developed in cooperation with the Cottbus start-up TripLeap, invites you to explore the Lausitz Science Park on your own. Eight stations in the future Science Park are discovered with the help of a smartphone or a printed map - including small puzzles, audio information and "knowledge snacks" that make the new innovation quarter both tangible and entertaining.

Participation is free and flexible - you can join in at any time: simply scan the QR code on the posters around the festival or pick up a map at the LSP information stand.

The Lausitz Science Park opens up new perspectives for shaping a climate-neutral future. Experience it at the Decarbon Days - historically, technologically and in an entertaining and informative way.

Decarbon Days programme

The Decarbon Days will kick off with the EU Summit "EU meets Net Zero Valley" on 26 June, which will bring together decision-makers from the EU, federal, state and regional levels. They will discuss the importance of innovative regions such as Net Zero Valleys for Germany's and the EU's path to new competitiveness and innovative strength.

On 27 June, the Tech Festival will offer panels, workshops etc. with speakers of (inter)national renown on the topic of cleantech in connection with the economy, start-ups and politics. The programme logic: The presentation of many opportunities in the innovative global growth market is followed by impulses for founding and growing and finally impulses for the necessary political framework conditions. The presentation of a new award for female innovators in the areas of clean energy and industry as well as a broad supporting programme with drones, AI, VR, quizzes and other highlights will enrich the festival.

The festival will conclude with the transnational Talent Day on 28 June in cooperation with the University of Zielona Gora and BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. With free admission, the focus will be on the internationalisation of the labour market, including job dating, a political talk and the final of the Climathon - an innovative contest on challenges in the field of cleantech, which is also being held for the first time.
