Successful First Edition of GETTING STARTED - 101 of Entrepreneurship

From 22 to 26 May 2023, around 40 interested people took the interdisciplinary module GETTING STARTED - 101 of Entrepreneurship in the STARTBLOCK B2 and COLab

GETTING STARTED - 101 of Entrepreneurship was the first English-language offshoot of the module DURCHSTARTEN - Schlüsselqualifikationen für deine Idee, which was awarded the BTU Teaching Award 2021.

The almost 40 participants from different nations and courses of study developed a business idea from scratch in teams. Theory and practice were taught in workshops on topics such as idea finding, business plans, PR & online marketing and rhetoric. They were able to make full use of the equipment in the COLab to develop their prototypes.

On the last day, a total of eight teams presented their ideas to a jury of representatives from the BTU Startup Service, the BTU Startup Communityand COLab. Among the very diverse and creative ideas, the jury awarded the three best with vouchers for further use of the COLab.

The interdisciplinary module was developed in cooperation with the projects CreativeOpenLab (COLab), BTU Startup Community and the Department of Business Administration, in particular Organisation and Corporate Management. The organisation was supported by STARTBLOCK B2, the Startup Lausitz start-up ecosystem, the BTU Startup Service and BTU alumni Michael Freudenberg (co-founder of just leads GmbH) and Merle Schneider.

The next German-language edition will take place in the winter semester 23/24. The information will be announced on the websites of COLab and the BTU Startup Community.
