Find your voice - workshops to strengthen your voice in everyday university life

On the occasion of Brandenburg Women's Weeks 2026, the Equal Opportunities Office at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg cordially invites you to two exciting workshops with vocal coach and anti-discrimination trainer Andrzej Profus, who will offer students and staff support in dealing with discriminatory structures and help them find their own voice (again).

BTU is a partner in the Innovatorium Lausitz (ILAU) skilled labour project

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is a partner in the Innovatorium Lausitz (ILAU) skilled labour project at Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park. Together with the ISP special-purpose association, the BTU wants to develop the NEXUS-HUB - the centrepiece of the ILAU, which aims to qualify and integrate skilled workers from Germany and abroad and retain them in the region in the long term.

Interdisciplinary research programme for sustainable aviation propulsion systems

With the new ['skai]-lab cooperation, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the DLR Institute of Electrified Aero Engines and the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) are pooling their expertise in quality control, condition analysis and operational safety of additively manufactured components for electrified aircraft engines.

Exhibition: The colourful world of studying and working

Pictures by long-time university employee Ralf Schuster are being shown in a new exhibition in the media library of the Senftenberg campus library at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). All interested parties are invited to attend the opening on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Successful BTU debut in the Jugend forscht family

The Brandenburg-South regional competition of Jugend forscht was held for the first time and with great success on 4 March 2026. Around 40 pupils presented 25 independently developed research projects to a jury from science and schools at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

Dismay at the current situation in the Middle East

The Executive Committee of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is deeply saddened by the situation in Iran and neighbouring regions. Our thoughts and sympathy are with the people on the ground and with the members of our university who are worried about their families and friends.
