How can endangered craft knowledge be preserved? BTU researchers and regional initiatives are focussing on personal stories: At the blueprint weekend in the Wendish-German Museum of Local History in Jänschwalde/Janšojce, the storytelling café becomes a living archive - and brings generations into dialogue.

On the occasion of Brandenburg Women's Weeks 2026, the Equal Opportunities Office at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg cordially invites you to two exciting workshops with vocal coach and anti-discrimination trainer Andrzej Profus, who will offer students and staff support in dealing with discriminatory structures and help them find their own voice (again).

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is a partner in the Innovatorium Lausitz (ILAU) skilled labour project at Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park. Together with the ISP special-purpose association, the BTU wants to develop the NEXUS-HUB - the centrepiece of the ILAU, which aims to qualify and integrate skilled workers from Germany and abroad and retain them in the region in the long term.

From the practice room to the stage - and sometimes straight to her own song: Stella-Marie Jahn studies Singing in the Jazz/Rock/Pop department at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. She particularly appreciates the informal atmosphere and the many opportunities to try out theory on stage straight away.

With the new ['skai]-lab cooperation, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the DLR Institute of Electrified Aero Engines and the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) are pooling their expertise in quality control, condition analysis and operational safety of additively manufactured components for electrified aircraft engines.

Charlotte is studying Environmental and Resource Management in the Master's programme at BTU and spent a semester abroad at the University of Vaasa in Vaasa, Finland, from August to December in the winter semester 2025/26.

Pictures by long-time university employee Ralf Schuster are being shown in a new exhibition in the media library of the Senftenberg campus library at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). All interested parties are invited to attend the opening on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral students can apply until March 26, 2026 for the newly designed edition of the Student Research Clubs. In contrast to previous Student Research Clubs, for the first time students have the opportunity to work on and realise their own research ideas in collaboration with other European students.

The Brandenburg-South regional competition of Jugend forscht was held for the first time and with great success on 4 March 2026. Around 40 pupils presented 25 independently developed research projects to a jury from science and schools at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).
