On Friday, February 16, 2024, Faculty 5 - Business, Law and Society at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) honored its best students of 2023 for the first time as part of the Dean's List.
Uwe Riedel, Director of the DLR Institute of Low Carbon Industrial Processes and Chair of Decarbonized Industrial Processes at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, has been awarded the Russell Severance Springer Professorship at the University of California, Berkeley for 2023/24.
Once again, students from the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) are competing in one of the world's largest energy efficiency competitions. With their battery-powered vehicle LaDyGator, they want to face the international competition in Nogaro in the south of France from May 19 to 24, 2024.
The new dates have been set: in Spremberg and Welzow, other interested parties can now find out more about the project and take part in the investigations into soil quality in Lusatia. The Citizen Science project also aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and sensible soil use.

Her great commitment to research, teaching and promoting young talent, as well as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, are the occasion to introduce the scientist.
Prof. Dr. Antje Bräumner, Head of the Bioanalytics and Bioprocesses Division at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI, and her deputy and Head of the Molecular and Cellular Bioanalytics Department Dr. Eva Ehrentreich-Förster were guests at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on February 8, 2024.
From April 1, 2024, the President of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) Prof. Gesine Grande and the President of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) Prof. Matthias Barth will jointly head the Brandenburg State Conference of University Presidents (BLHP).
