Postdoc
Once you have completed your doctorate, there are a number of career paths open to you, both within and outside academia. If you are not yet sure whether you want to work in a university, pursue a non-academic career in research or industry, or set up your own business, we are happy to help you prepare for future roles in science, business and society:
The Unit for Research Funding provides information, advice and support for externally funded research projects. In addition, BTU members have access to research funding activities such as publication support, application support for strategically important collaborative projects and ERC coaching.
The Graduate Research School (GRS) at BTU offers a specially designed qualification programme for doctoral researchers and postdocs to complement their own research. This programme supports you during your doctoral or postdoctoral phase and prepares you for the next steps in your career.
BTU's Continuing Education also offers a wide programme. It supports:
- Scientists with skills development and an overview of existing networking programmes
- Teachers with events on didactics and innovative and flexible teaching methods
- Executives on topics related to everyday professional and management life
- Employees with qualification offers and requested training courses as well as offers from the organisational units of the University
Targeted academic continuing education at the Centre for Continuing Education (ZWW) at the BTU is characterised by intensive research and development work.
In addition to the programmes offered by BTU, you can also take advantage of the programmes offered by partner universities within the Postdoc Network Brandenburg.
We are also there to support you with your individual career planning. Please make an appointment using the contact details provided.
