Farewell to former colleague Klaus Hübner

Almost half a century at the university in Senftenberg

Klaus Hübner is known to many generations in Senftenberg, as he was employed here for almost half a century from 1953 to 2000. In the process, he experienced and helped shape many changes in the science location. Klaus Hübner himself studied in Senftenberg and remained loyal to the site throughout his life. From 1957, he was a lecturer in mining technology and civil engineering, and from 1982 to 2000 he was head of the department for distance and evening studies. Even after his retirement, he remained connected to the campus in Senftenberg until the end. At the proud age of 89, he has now passed away. Anyone who would like to say goodbye, especially from the college, can come to the mourning hall in the Green Street of the municipal forest cemetery in Senftenberg on 18.03.2023 at 13:00.
