Lecture evening: Our basis of life - discovering and evaluating soil

The public lecture series "Open BTU" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will kick off the summer semester on Wednesday, 9 April 2025 at 5:30 pm. Experts from the university and the Brandenburg State Office for Mining, Geology and Raw Materials will kick off the new module area "Our Soils in Lusatia".

Television and social media at the centre of the children's university

"Of presenters, bloggers and influencers: how is television created and how does it differ from social media?" Participants in the children's university at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will be exploring this current topic on 3 and 9 April 2025.

Night of the Libraries - the BTU will be there!

Cottbus and Senftenberg: both BTU campuses and their university libraries will be taking part in the first nationwide Night of the Libraries on Friday, 4 April 2025. The diverse programme ranges from a guided tour into hidden corners, a library rally, stories from Lusatia to a writing workshop or upcycling with paper and scissors.

Future Day at the BTU in Cottbus or Senftenberg

Pupils in grades 9 to 13 are invited to the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on Thursday, 3 April 2025. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., they will learn about modern study programmes and gain insights into various careers.

Forensic investigation methods at the pupils university

"Inspector Fly - how insects help the police" is the topic of the current student university lecture at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, from 5 to 6:30 pm. Interested students from years seven to ten are invited to the Konrad Zuse Media Centre on the Campus Senftenberg.

Sorbian lifeworlds in the digital age

A two-day conference on 20 and 21 March 2025 will explore the impact of digital technologies on the present and future of Sorbian/Wendish culture. The transdisciplinary forum offers a series of specialist lectures, workshops, an interactive trade fair and round table discussions.
