World-class guitarist makes guest appearance at the BTU in Cottbus

Music lovers are invited to a special concert experience on Saturday, 3 May 2025 at 6 p.m. on the Cottbus-Sachsendorf campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) at Lipezker Straße 47. The internationally acclaimed guitarist Professor Goran Krivokapić will be performing in the concert hall of the Institute of Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching.

Lecture evening: Our basis of life - using soil sensibly

Experts from science and practice will be discussing the opportunities and challenges for land use in Lower Lusatia as well as future-proof and sustainable agriculture as part of the "Open BTU" public lecture series at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on Wednesday, 23 April 2025 at 5:30 pm.

BTU Celebrates Europe Weeks in May

On the occasion of Europe Day on May 9, 25 the Europe Weeks will take place for the 4th time. The BTU, the city of Cottbus and numerous cooperation partners have prepared a colorful programme with many exciting events on the topic of Europe in the month of May. The aim is to promote the European idea, facilitate intercultural exchange and celebrate common values.

Lecture evening: Our basis of life - discovering and evaluating soil

The public lecture series "Open BTU" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will kick off the summer semester on Wednesday, 9 April 2025 at 5:30 pm. Experts from the university and the Brandenburg State Office for Mining, Geology and Raw Materials will kick off the new module area "Our Soils in Lusatia".

Successful graduates celebrate first bachelor's degree in midwifery at BTU

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) has held a graduation ceremony for the first graduates of the Bachelor's degree programme in Midwifery Science in the state of Brandenburg. From now on, 13 specialists with excellent academic training are ready to fulfil their diverse tasks in the field of midwifery in the region.

Television and social media at the centre of the children's university

"Of presenters, bloggers and influencers: how is television created and how does it differ from social media?" Participants in the children's university at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will be exploring this current topic on 3 and 9 April 2025.
