KLĔB A SOL - Cottbus Welcome Party

An entire city says welcome: On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, a welcome event for the Lusatian boomtown will take place in Cottbus city center for the first time. A colorful democracy mile in the Sprem, a large table football tournament on the Altmarkt and a multicultural pub night in around twelve locations from the Ebert-Höfe to the city promenade invite you to celebrate.

MINT-EC aerospace technology cluster launched at BTU

A new thematic cluster of the national excellence school network MINT-EC has been opened at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). The aim is to develop innovative teaching materials on the subject of aerospace technology.

Public lecture focuses on the effects of populism

As part of the "Open BTU" lecture series, Prof. Dr. Marcel Fratzscher, President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and Professor of Macroeconomics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, will give a lecture on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 17:30 at the Cottbus main campus of Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

"Open Senftenberg" with open doors at the BTU

Together with around 90 other institutions, companies and associations, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is organizing the "Open Senftenberg" day on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Study information, open labs, experiments, a poetry slam, sporting activities and much more will characterize the program on the BTU campus from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Social transformation processes from the 1990s to the present day are the focus of a series of events at the Bunte Bahnhof Cottbus (Güterzufuhrstraße 8) from May 14 to July 9, 2024. Anyone interested is cordially invited. Admission is free.
