On 11 December 2025, students from the BTU campuses in Cottbus and Senftenberg and pupils from the Georg Heinsius von Mayenburg School in the Senftenberg district of Brieske once again faced the question of which of their self-constructed bridges is particularly strong and light.

Excellent results in the current ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) for Master's degree programmes at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in the field of engineering.

"How flying robots measure our world" - this is the topic of the last children's university lecture of 2025 at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on 10 and 11 December.

Anita Demuth, Deputy Head of the PtX Lab Lausitz in Cottbus, will conclude the Open BTU series on "Aerospace - Lusatian research above the clouds" on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at 5:30 pm.

The Centre for Structural Change and Regional Development (ZeStuR) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), which is funded by the federal government with 16 million euros from the Structural Strengthening Act, will begin its work in November 2025.

The Swedish Concrete Association has honoured Prof. Dr.-Ing. Angelika Mettke from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg with the prestigious Swedish Concrete Award 2025. Prof. Mettke is head of the field of study Structural Recycling.
