Lecture evening: The great (re)break in 1989 and its consequences

The new module area of the public lecture series "Open BTU" deals with social change. Prof. Dr Raj Kollmorgen, Professor of Social Change Management and Vice-Rector for Research at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, will be the speaker at the kick-off event on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 at 5:30 pm at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The Facets of the History of Art and Architecture - Lectures and Discussions

What are we building on? This is the central question of a new lecture series at the Institute of History of Art and Architecture (IBK) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus Senftenberg (BTU). The lecture series is aimed at a specialist audience from technical, social science and humanities disciplines and an interested public alike.

Public guided tours on the subject of art in architecture at the BTU

The tours take up the theme of the traveling exhibition “70 Years of Art in Architecture in Germany”, which can be seen at the Information, Communication and Media Centre (IKMZ) of the BTU until November 26, 2024. Interested parties are cordially invited. The number of participants is limited to 20 people at a time.

"Youth Piano International" - a special piano recital at the BTU in Cottbus-Sachsendorf

Outstanding students and alumni of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg's (BTU) studies leading to certification in artistic education will be helping to shape the 50th Cottbus Musikherbst. On Tuesday, 12 November 2024, at 7 pm, they will present piano works by Brandenburg composers and international masters of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Prof. Ivan Ndip honoured with the IMAPS Outstanding Educator Award 2024

The International Microelectronics Assembly and Packaging Society (IMAPS), the world's largest association for the promotion of microelectronics and assembly and packaging technologies, has honoured Ivan Ndip, Chair of Antennas and High Frequency System Integration at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

STEM women's scholarships for a further nine female scholarship holders

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) has awarded the MINT Women's Scholarship for the third time in a row. Nine young women from different STEM study programmes can look forward to a monthly grant of 250 euros over two semesters and intensive support during their first career steps.
