Brandenburg's Minister of Science, Dr. Manja Schüle, visited BTU Campus Senftenberg on 5 December 2023. In discussions with students and teaching staff, she saw for herself how well the concept of the successfully launched new teacher training course has already proven itself.

STEM Women's Scholarship enters its second round with eight new scholarship holders

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg has awarded STEM women's scholarships for the second time. The scholarship is aimed at first-year female students in the university's 18 STEM study programmes. Eight young women can look forward to a monthly grant of 250 euros over two semesters. They are supported by the BTU STEM ambassadors during their studies.

For the tenth time: students invite you to the Christmas market in Senftenberg

Be enchanted by the Christmas flair on campus, experience a poetry slam or even help create one yourself, cheer on the teams in the Lusatian bridge building competition - university members and visitors from the region can do all of this on Wednesday and Thursday, December 13 and 14, 2023, between 4 and 10 p.m. at BTU in Campus Senftenberg.

Ceremonial kick-off for structural change project OASYS

On December 1, 2023, the project "Optoelectronic Sensors for Application-oriented Systems for Life Sciences and Intelligent Manufacturing – OASYS" celebrated its official launch at a festive kick-off event at the IKMZ of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. The project is being funded with 12.5 million euros by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Lecture and discussion evening: Shaping the future of Lusatia with BTU

The public lecture series "Open BTU" will focus on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., projects for structural change in Lusatia under the leadership of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). The speakers will be Ariane Derks, Managing Director of the Lausitz Science Park, and Dr. Jakob Pohlisch from the Energy Innovation Centre.
