Over 150 participants from science, politics, administration, business and civil society discussed how Brandenburg can become more resilient through natural climate protection and at the same time create new added value at the conference "Natural Climate Protection: Innovations for Business and Nature in Brandenburg".

The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg matriculation ceremony in the Cottbus Stadthalle on Monday 6 October marked the festive start of the 2025/2026 academic year. The new students were welcomed by BTU President Gesine Grande, the mayors of the university towns of Cottbus and Senftenberg and representatives of the student body.

Together with citizens and municipal representatives, experts from research and practice will discuss the future of the energy transition in the structurally changing regions of Lusatia and the Rhineland on Thursday and Friday, 9 and 10 October 2025, in the sports and culture barn in the Vetschau district of Raddusch in the Spreewald.

The new Medical Engineering study programme started at the Senftenberg site of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in the 2022/23 winter semester. The first student, Marlene Felker, has now completed her studies - successfully and within the regular duration of the standard programme.

The future of robotics starts now! This was impressively demonstrated by pupils from Max-Steenbeck-Gymnasium when they presented the BTU College's experimental programme, which is unique in Germany. This will be available to grades 7 to 12 in the DLR_School_Lab from the 2025/26 school year.

He stopped by the Materials Researchers at SpreeTec neXt, was taken on a tour of the innovation landscape of the Lausitz Science Park and learned about modern technologies for climate-friendly mobility at chesco.
