Science and research are key drivers of change in Lusatia. Federal Minister for Research Dorothee Bär saw this for herself today during her official inaugural visit to the state of Brandenburg.

The core objective of the interdisciplinary Theranosticum Lausitz consortium is to develop more personalised, precise and gentler treatments for patients. This consortium of renowned specialist institutions in the field of theranostic medicine – one of the most promising areas of modern cancer diagnosis and treatment – is working to integrate diagnosis and treatment more closely.

To mark the start of a particularly topical series of lectures, the continuing education programme in Forensic Sciences and Engineering at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) – the only one of its kind in Germany – invites you to attend on Friday, 15 May 2026, at 5.30 pm.

The newly formed student team Lausitz Dynamics from the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is currently in the midst of intensive preparations for the new racing season with its vehicle, the HydroRaycer.

The audience experienced hands-on science at three completely sold-out events of the DLR Space Show, organised by the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on 27 and 28 April 2026 at the Staatstheater Cottbus.

With new outdoor facilities and modern sports equipment, the Campus Senftenberg of the Brandenburg University of Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is becoming increasingly attractive. As a visible symbol of the bond between the university and the town of Senftenberg, these facilities are open not only to members of the university community but also to the general public.

Pictures by long-time university employee Ralf Schuster are being shown in a new exhibition in the media library of the Senftenberg campus library at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). All interested parties are invited to attend the opening on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Lausitz Dynamics team at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) has reorganised itself. With their HydroRaycer vehicle, the students are preparing for one of the world's largest energy efficiency competitions, which will once again be held in neighbouring Poland in 2026.
