Lusatia is establishing itself as a hub for cancer care

The core objective of the interdisciplinary Theranosticum Lausitz consortium is to develop more personalised, precise and gentler treatments for patients. This consortium of renowned specialist institutions in the field of theranostic medicine – one of the most promising areas of modern cancer diagnosis and treatment – is working to integrate diagnosis and treatment more closely.

Successful start to the final race preparations

DLR Space Show Delights Children and Teachers

The audience experienced hands-on science at three completely sold-out events of the DLR Space Show, organised by the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on 27 and 28 April 2026 at the Staatstheater Cottbus.

A sporty opening: Fitness park on the BTU campus in Senftenberg

With new outdoor facilities and modern sports equipment, the Campus Senftenberg of the Brandenburg University of Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is becoming increasingly attractive. As a visible symbol of the bond between the university and the town of Senftenberg, these facilities are open not only to members of the university community but also to the general public.

Prof. Dr Peer Schmidt, Vice-President for Academic Affairs at BTU, and Melanie Haschock from the University Sports Centre cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the fitness circuit.

Exhibition: The colourful world of studying and working

Pictures by long-time university employee Ralf Schuster are being shown in a new exhibition in the media library of the Senftenberg campus library at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). All interested parties are invited to attend the opening on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
