Hats for all, prizes for the best

Graduate hats, congratulations, music and a champagne reception - this year's graduates from the BTU main campus in Cottbus will celebrate the official end of their studies on Friday, 19 September 2025. In addition to the official "throwing of the hats", the highlight of the event is the honouring of the best Bachelor's and Master's theses.

New programme at DLR_School_Lab: pupils experiment with robots

The future of robotics starts now! This was impressively demonstrated by pupils from Max-Steenbeck-Gymnasium when they presented the BTU College's experimental programme, which is unique in Germany. This will be available to grades 7 to 12 in the DLR_School_Lab from the 2025/26 school year.

Beacons of structural change

On November 30, 2023, the Minister President of the State of Brandenburg, Dr. Dietmar Woidke, visited outstanding structural change projects at BTU. He stopped by the Materials Researchers at SpreeTec neXt, was taken on a tour of the innovation landscape of the Lausitz Science Park and learned about modern technologies for climate-friendly mobility at chesco.
