Daniel Meyer

Biography

Daniel Meyer has been a lecturer at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg since October 2023. As a senior researcher at the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR), he investigates the living conditions in Germany’s three lignite-mining regions. In addition, he is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cologne and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, examining the formation of career aspirations in business schools. From 2009 to 2016, he studied socio-economics (B.A.) and sociology (M.A.) in Nuremberg, Jena, Berkeley, and Dublin. During Spring 2019, he was a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York.
