Middle East Cooperation Unit (MEC),  is a collaborative urban platform led by the Chair of Landscape Architecture. Established in 2003, MEC is dedicated to the exchange of ideas at the intersection of urban design, conservation and development. As an interdisciplinary initiative affiliated with the Master's programme in Urban Design and Sustainable Revitalization, MEC aims to serve as a catalyst for impactful academic partnerships.

Through exchange programmes, capacity building initiatives, and interdisciplinary research efforts, MEC invites you to engage with us in various projects and hands-on workshops as we explore the intricacies of integrated urban conservation and development in the MENA region.
