In April 2026, students from the Double Degree Track of our Master’s Programme joined peers from across Egypt for the Cairo International School: "With Communities, For Communities: Regenerating Al-Khalifa."

Organised by the Urban Form Lab (Department of Architectural Engineering, Cairo University), the workshop was coordinated with the academic partners of Pro-Green LABs (an Erasmus+ Project co-funded by the EU) and held in collaboration with non-academic partner, Megawra | Built Environment Collective.

Working collaboratively, participants developed proposals focused on three core pillars of greening, digitisation and community design.
