External training is important for companies and Staff Members to acquire new skills and knowledge and to strengthen competitiveness and innovation. They can be an important career step to further develop one's own competencies.

Specialists and managers can gain further qualifications with our extra-occupational postgraduate master's degree courses, certificate studies and programs, specialist seminars or workshops, and soft-skill training. We offer thematically diverse qualification programs on the premises of the BTU or, through the integration of e-learning components, largely flexible in terms of time and location.

Our qualification courses have a clear practical relevance, are both competence- and action-oriented, and fund active, self-responsible, and collegial learning.

Based on the framework regulations in the area of continuing academic education at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and following the DGWF recommendations on formats of continuing academic education, the following degrees are offered in continuing academic education at BTU:

Extra-occupational postgraduate master's programs

Open up new career perspectives with a university master's degree program that can also be studied part-time. Upon successful completion, you can earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Master of Business Law (M.B.L.) degree, depending on the discipline.

Certificate Programs

Inquiries or registrations are accepted on a rolling basis for all events.

After participating in the online and face-to-face sessions and passing a corresponding examination, participants receive a university certificate. The certificate is a high-quality proof for the personal educational biography as well as for a credit of acquired knowledge.

The Transfer of Knowledge and Technology Department and the Center for Scientific Continuing Education invite business and social partners from the region to a UNIverselle breakfast every quarter.
