‘Handling research data and an introduction to the FDM services RADAR-BB and RDMO-BB’
This event provides a practical overview of how researchers at the BTU can manage research data responsibly and thereby comply with the DFG’s and the BTU’s guidelines on good scientific practice. In addition, the BTU’s research data management services will be presented. The focus is on the RADAR-BB service for the secure, interdisciplinary archiving or publication of research data, and the RDMO-BB service for creating data management plans, both of which will shortly be available to BTU members.
In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the training session ‘AI in Research: Legally compliant use of AI tools for scientific publications, grant applications or examiner reports’. It will take place as the fifth session in the AI Workshop series on 13 October 2026 and again on 23 February 2027, covering relevant guidelines on the use of AI, suitable AI tools for research, analysis and text processing, as well as ways of using AI that comply with data protection regulations – for example, using Chat AI in the GWDG Academic Cloud or by installing and configuring AI applications that run entirely locally on your own PC.
