Lausitz Science Park to become a "place to be" in the immediate vicinity of the BTU campus
"The Lusatia Science Park is to become an inspiring open space for talented researchers and companies working on solutions for sustainable change. It is to become a new Cottbus quarter with a high quality of stay that is easily accessible locally, nationally and internationally. And it should become a place of excellent infrastructure for researchers, start-ups and innovative companies," BTU President Prof. Gesine Grande addressed BTU students today.
The occasion was an introductory event on campus planning and the Lausitz Science Park (LSP). In the summer semester of 2024, several seminars on these topics will be held at BTU with the participation of chairs from the Institute of Urban Planning and the Institute of Architecture. The idea is to bring together Bachelor's and Master's students from different seminars in order to fund synergies between the projects. The students will deal with designs and projects with campus and LSP. Of particular interest is the vision for the Lausitz Science Park, its significance for the BTU and its content and spatial integration with the existing main campus.
