STRONG projects for Lusatia

Knowledge transfer, networks and community spirit at the third STARK meeting

On 28 October 2024, we had the great opportunity to exchange ideas with many other regional players in Lusatia's structural change.

At the invitation of Wirtschaftsregion Lausitz GmbH, representatives of ongoing and new projects from the "Strengthening transformation dynamics and new departures in the mining areas and at coal-fired power plant sites" (STARK) funding programme came to the Kulturweberei Finsterwalde: The topics ranged from A for "Establishing a network for the production and marketing of regional eggs" to Z for "Relocation and return initiatives" - including a serenade by the famous Finsterwalde singers.

Together with the City of Cottbus, the Centre for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) and MinGenTec - Mining & Generation Technology and many more, we formed the "Business and Skilled Workers" cluster. We discussed the current status of the science and technology park, learnt about new innovative projects and met old and new acquaintances.

It's really great to see how much dynamism and creativity there is in our region!
