Curtain up for a new chapter

The first construction fences have been erected in the Lausitz Science Park - a sure sign that big things are on the way!

Behind it, the new research centre of the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) will be built in the coming years, where research will be conducted into hybrid-electric and electric drive solutions for climate-friendly mobility.

In the immediate vicinity, the DLR Institute of Electrified Aircraft Propulsion is already setting up test benches in its HepCo test environment to develop and test new technologies, especially for aircraft propulsion systems.

The construction fences have also survived their (rainy) premiere: On 23 January, representatives of the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture visited the site to find out about the future plans of Lausitz Science Park and chesco.
