BTU SuccessionBus: "Dear Future, I'm Ready!"

The first official act of the new Lord Mayor of the city of Cottbus, Tobias Schick, was to choose the public's favorite of the "Rediscover Cottbus/Chóśebuz" photo competition. The picture with the BTU successor bus did not win, but now hangs for a year in the hallway outside the Lord Mayor's office.

The green BTU NachfolgeBus (succession bus) promotes business succession in the town hall. This is an important topic because in the chamber district of South Brandenburg, every fourth company is run by managing directors aged 60 or older. The problem of a lack of company successors is thus even more pronounced in Lusatia than in the national average. At the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, business succession is addressed in seminars and events with the "Lausitzer NachfolgeBus" project, so that students or employees recognize business succession as a career path. Outside the university, the project has a far-reaching impact through the bus. The bus travels as a regular service bus through the Lusatia region and thus draws attention to corporate succession. In practical use, the bus also brings interested parties and companies together at events, always with the aim of initiating succession discussions.
