BTU Senate elects Prof. Dr. Eike Albrecht as new chairperson and Prof. Dr. Susana Ruiz Fernandez as deputy chairperson
University professor Dr. iur. Eike Albrecht, vice-dean of Faculty 5 - Business, Law and Society and holder of the Chair of Public Law, wih Focus on Environmental and Planning Law , was elected chairperson of the Senate.
The Senate members also expressed their confidence in Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Susana Ruiz Fernández, who heads the Chair of Psychology in Faculty 4 - Human Sciences, and elected her as deputy chairperson of the Senate.
Prof. Eike Albrecht and Prof. Susana Ruiz Fernández explain: "We would like to thank you for electing us as board chairperson and deputy chairperson and for the trust you have placed in us. The newly elected Senate will have to make some fundamental decisions, such as implementing the changes to the Brandenburg Higher Education Act and the recommendations of the German Council of Science and Humanities. This is not only a challenge, but rather an opportunity to use the current dynamic through transformation to position BTU for the future. We want to drive this forward together and with the involvement of all members and affiliates of BTU."
