Open day at the chesco research factory

On Saturday, 19 July 2025, the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) will once again open its doors to the public. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., interested parties will be given exclusive insights into the research factory and learn how work is being carried out on the drive technologies of tomorrow.

"Cool lane" - Germany's first cycle path adapted to climate change

30 kilometres long, mostly cool, swimming opportunities and hardly any roads: On Saturday, 19 July 2025, the first cycle path in Germany adapted to climate change will be opened - the "Kühle Spur". The event with a science market is open to the public: 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the harbour in Großräschen in the Lusatian Lakeland.

Completion EUNICE Entrepreneurship Lab 2025

40 EUNICE participants divided into 11 multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, 13 online workshops, a summer school and a tech hackathon – this diverse programme was offered from 14 March to 4 July this year by the Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab) at our partner university, the University of Catania in Italy.

At the English-language summer school "Low Carbon Electricity and Mobility Concepts", organised by Prof. Harald Schwarz, Chair of Decentralized Energy Systems and Electrical Networks, students and young researchers will gain an in-depth insight into key future technologies of the energy and mobility transition.

Sustainable production

Experts from research and practice will talk about increasing efficiency in production processes at the Cross-Cluster Conference on Sustainable Production. Hosted by the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB), the conference will take place on Thursday, 10 July 2025, in the start-up centre on the main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
