Focus in research

In research, the chair is focused on modeling reactive flows with detailed kinetic models. These include heterogeneous models, such as those occurring in catalytic or non-catalytic surface reactions. For this purpose, kinetic models are compiled at the chair from existing kinetic databases.

Laboratories with combustion technology equipment (Heat Flux Burner, Rapid Compression Machine, Reactor for Steam Reforming and Mirco-CHP Engine) and a dedicated computational cluster with 1000 cores are available for research.

Focus in teaching

In teaching, the full scope of the chair's activities is offered with modules in the fields of multiphase thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, thermal process engineering, chemical process engineering, thermal processes, technical combustion and thermal environmental protection.

Laboratories and a pilot plant are available to the chair for the execution of teaching and research.
