The school year has begun. Even though it may not yet be the final year, many young people will soon have to make decisions about their future prospects. For all those for whom studying is a good option, there is now a new programme at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg that leaves no questions unanswered.

The new Medical Engineering study programme started at the Senftenberg site of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in the 2022/23 winter semester. The first student, Marlene Felker, has now completed her studies - successfully and within the regular duration of the standard programme.

In future, those affected will work together with BTU scientists at the practical research centre in Cottbus to find out how mobility, social integration into society and the health of older people can be improved. The launch ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 9 September 2025 at 3.30 pm in the "Startblock B2" start-up centre.

The children's university at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is also offering exciting activities during the summer holidays. On Tuesday, 26 August 2025, between 9:45 and 11:30 a.m., the theme is "From the bean to the bar - a visit to the SchokoLadenLand of Lusatia".

In the upcoming winter semester 2025/26, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus Senftenberg (BTU) will launch the Master's degree programme in Public Administration, which prepares students for leadership roles.

The Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr mult. Eckhard Nagel, the founding and scientific director Prof. Dr Adelheid Kuhlmey of the Medical University of Lausitz - Carl Thiem (MUL - CT) and the president Prof. Dr Gesine Grande of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg signed their cooperation agreement on the MUL - CT campus in an appropriate ceremony.
