The public lecture series "Open BTU" on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the end of the winter semester will focus on modern futurology and transformation research as well as the promotion of future skills.

The final lecture in the public series "Forensic Sciences: Tracking down the crime" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will be held on Friday, 24 January 2025 at 5:30 p.m. by Chief Constable Glesel from the Berlin State Criminal Police Office (LKA).

The public lecture series “Open BTU” offers current research insights for change on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 5:30 pm. The potential of carbon fibers made from renewable raw materials and Lusatian bioplastics will be demonstrated.

"Lying or standing? What the morphology of bloodstains tells us about the course of the crime!" Chief Inspector Marco Nitschke will discuss this topic with participants in the public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: Tracking down the crime" on Friday, 13 December 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

In the public lecture series "Open BTU" with Prof. Dr Armin Grunwald on Wednesday, 11 December 2024, the focus will be on careful technology assessment in particular. All interested parties are invited to Audimax 1 at the Cottbus main campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) at 5.30 pm.

In the public lecture series "Open BTU" with Prof. Dr Ortwin Renn on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, citizens' expectations of energy policy will be discussed, among other things. All interested parties are invited to Audimax 1 at the Cottbus main campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) at 5.30 pm.

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will receive funding for an additional three years (2025–2027) under the DAAD-supported “Support Initiative for German Schools Abroad and Partner Schools” (BIDS) program, funded by the German Foreign Office.

On November 12, 2024, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg welcomed its new DAAD scholarship students. These scholars from 23 countries, engaged in a wide range of fields, enrich university life and contribute to the cultural diversity of the university.

In the public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: On the trail of the crime" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), Prof. Dr Thomas Fischer, Head of the university's Central Analytics Laboratory, will provide exciting insights into the investigation of fire causes on Friday, 15 November 2024 at 5:30 pm.

The new module area of the public lecture series "Open BTU" deals with social change. Prof. Dr Raj Kollmorgen, Professor of Social Change Management and Vice-Rector for Research at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, will be the speaker at the kick-off event on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 at 5:30 pm at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
