In this module, students get to know the most important aspects of human resource management. Knowledge of "personal economic and industrial relations"(Bachelor) is helpful, but not a mandatory requirement. Based on basic knowledge, the module explains compensation schemes and career profiles as well as labor contracts and firms' employment systems. Students are enabled to understand boundary conditions and systems of work organization and to critically reflect HRM practices. The content is taught research-based in order to equip students with knowledge on how to critically reflect current research results and to transfer them into practice as evidence-based decision-makers in companies.
