Course contents TM II.1

The engineering mechanics 2 deals in the field of strength of materials with the analysis of loads and its dimensions by considering the allowable stresses and deformations of components. With the help of the knowledge gained in TM1, equlibrium is formed in rigid structures.  From the section forces, the stresses arising due to tension/compression, bending, shear force and torsion are determined. The analysis of stresses is followed with the calculation of deformation. Statistically determinate systems are the main focus of the course. The course TM2 provides the necessary basic skills for the in depth calculation of the subject machine elements and dimensioning of components and structures.
