Selected chapters of mechanics

On the basis of already acquired knowledge, new methods are introduced for describing a mechanically loaded component. The emphasis of the course lies in the basic equations of elastic theory which would be accompanied by an introduction of tensor calculation. This theoretical background will be practiced on technically relevant examples of plane stress and plane strain which gives a first look into thin walled structures using a rotationally symmetrical body as example.

Emphasis also lies in the consideration of beam systems as an elemental model in the design calculations in respect of dynamic loads and stresses above the elastic limit.

The conclusion emulates the generalization of the approach based on mechanical principles.
