The Chair of Antennas and High-Frequency System Integration was founded in February 2023 and is headed by Professor Ivan Ndip. It is part of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Science (Faculty 1) of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

We teach and conduct fundamental research in the fields of high-frequency engineering and electromagnetic field theory.

The focus of our research is on the development and implementation of new methods for efficient high-frequency modeling, measurement-based characterization and optimization of antennas and waveguides, advanced packaging and heterogeneous system integration technologies as well as RF front-end modules up to terahertz frequencies. Furthermore, we study the root causes of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues in high-speed components, modules and systems. We then develop methods and measures to prevent/minimize these SI, PI and EMC issues.

Our goal is to contribute innovative solutions for the development of future electronic systems, especially for mobile (e.g. 6G), satellite and space communication, radar and proximity sensing as well as for high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. We work closely with industry and applied research institutes, especially Fraunhofer IZM.
