Joining, and nowadays in particular shaping joining, are decisive production steps for the manufacture of complex components. In addition to the selection, design and implementation of the actual joining process, the joining-friendly design of the component in the earlier design phase as well as the safe and quality-compliant dimensioning of the joined joints under the stress conditions also play an important role.
The Chair of Joining and Welding Technology meets these comprehensive requirements through its conceptual orientation in the four teaching and research fields: Joining, Additive Manufacturing, Testing, Simulation.
