Membership in the HZwo e.V.

Together with the Fraunhofer IAP, Prof. Seidlitz has joined the Innovation Cluster HZwo.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP with its research areas "Functional Polymer Systems", "Synthesis and Polymer Technology", "Polymer Materials and Composites PYCO" and the "Center for Applied Nanotechnology CAN" has been a member of the "Saxon Innovation Cluster for Fuel Cells and Hydrogen - HZwo" (http://hzwo.eu) since September 2020.

This network represents the entire value chain for fuel cells and green hydrogen in the Free State of Saxony and beyond. Together with the research institutes involved in it, such as TU Chemnitz and Fraunhofer IWU, as well as small, medium-sized and large companies, the expertise and facilities available in the region are combined to develop new processes and products.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Seidlitz from FB6 "Polymer Materials and Composite PYCO", who also heads the Chair of Polymer-based Lightweight Design at the BTU Cottbus - Senftenberg, will participate in the cluster's events on behalf of the Fraunhofer IAP and will also intensify cooperation with the other members in joint and application projects. In this context, the competences built up so far in resin development and modification for low-temperature applications, semi-finished product production and processing with automated fiber placement technologies, and the design of pressure vessels using artificial intelligence, especially in the development of novel function-integrated storage modules, are to be bundled.
