As part of our ongoing exploration of decolonising technical universities and sustainability transitions in the BTU4Future module this summer semester, we are delighted to welcome Professor Srinjoy Mitra (University of Edinburgh) as a guest lecturer.

As part of our ongoing exploration of decolonising technical universities and sustainability transitions in the BTU4Future module this summer semester, we are pleased to welcome Professor Srinjoy Mitra (University of Edinburgh) as a guest lecturer.

In his online session, Professor Mitra will explore “Coloniality of Knowledge and Engineering”, addressing key issues such as knowledge hierarchies and Eurocentrism in technical disciplines. His lecture will offer valuable insights into how engineering and technological systems are shaped by global inequalities, and how they can be reimagined in more inclusive and equitable ways.
