Requirements

for receiving funding

In advance

You are responsible for finding and organising your internship.
You can find special offers for Erasmus+ internships here, for example: Leo net, erasmus intern

Important:

  • Internships that have already started cannot be funded retroactively.
  • Hybrid and remote internships are not eligible for funding.
  • There is no legal right to receive funding from the Erasmus+ program.

Requirements for applications

  • You are enrolled as a full-time student at a university from our consortium partner in Brandenburg. Graduates must already be applying in their final year of study.
  • Your "Erasmus time quota" of 12 months in the current study cycle (Bachelor, Master) is not yet fully utilised.
  • You possess strong skills in the language you will be using in your future career.
  • Make sure to apply well in advance of your planned internship start date.
  • You must be registered in Germany.

Requirements for the internship

  • Self-organized full-time internship (at least 35 hours per week).
  • With the exception of Germany, the Erasmus+ internship can be completed in all remaining 26 EU countries as well as Iceland,
Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and North Macedonia - program countries
  • The duration of the internship is at least 60 days and must not exceed 360 days.
Exception is short-term blended mobility (physical mobility phase of 5-30 days + mandatory virtual component).

Attention! Make sure that the first and last day of the internship fall on a working day. They may only fall on a weekend or public holiday if your internship actually begins or ends on that day.

  • The internship must be closely related to your studies and recognized by the university through ECTS, entry
in the Diploma Supplement or entry in the Transcript of Records (not only compulsory internships are eligible for funding).
  • Internships at EU institutions or other EU organizations are not eligible for funding due to conflicts of interest or to avoid double funding. You can find the list here.
  • Compensation (or benefits such as free accommodation, local transport costs, meals, etc.) for the internship can be combined with Erasmus+ funding (if the sum of the funding and the internship remuneration does not exceed EUR 2000/month. In this case, funding is only possible for 90 days).
  • The graduate internship must be completed within twelve months of the final degree and is not eligible for funding between the bachelor's and master's degree programs (if this is the aim). You must still be enrolled at the university at the time of application.
