Say NO to violence against women! Orange the World 2024

Under the motto "Orange the World", UN Women draws attention to the issue of violence against women every year in November. To mark the occasion, a public information event will be held at BlechenCARRÉ in Cottbus on 25 November 2024. In keeping with the theme, local organisations will be presenting their activities under the motto: music, games and fun instead of violence.

The new game "Monopoly Cottbus" is now available - the BTU is also involved

Cottbus and the surrounding area are in Monopoly fever. On 19 November 2024, a version of the world's most famous board game adapted to the university city was presented in the upper foyer of Cottbus Town Hall in the presence of Lord Mayor Tobias Schick. The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is prominently represented on the game board.

Presentation of the "PV2Float" project: Floating solar system on Lake Mortka

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), RWE and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg (ISE) presented the "PV2Float" research project to the public in Lohsa on 15 November 2024. Three different plant systems were tested, each with an output of around 30 kilowatts.

Physiotherapy research symposium links research, teaching and care

Physiotherapists interested in science and physiotherapy from all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland will come together at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 November 2024. Under the motto "Bridging the Gap", the 8th Physiotherapy Research Symposium will be held on the Senftenberg university campus.
