New language learning opportunities for students and staff members in the winter semester 2023/24

The main goals are to strengthen the scientific and technical languages German and English as well as other world languages, in particular the national languages in the EUNICE network and the languages Polish and Czech.

Multilingualism and transculturality are key competencies for a successful educational biography in the European Union. The BTU Language Center is therefore constantly working on the development of a language concept in order to break down linguistic and cultural barriers in the internationalization of the university and the regional job market. Therefore, the language courses accompany students in terms of content and method in their academic studies in the foreign languages German or English. In addition, participants are linguistically prepared for mobility abroad or a career in the globalized labor market - also in the region. German courses contribute to the social integration of international students and Staff Members at the university.

The Language Center offers general and specialized language seminars at the various levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Students and Staff Members of our university can choose from a wide range of intensive and study-accompanying, curricularly anchored and facultative presence and online language learning offers according to their linguistic previous knowledge, needs and interests.

Here the registration for all language courses in WS 23/24 is possible from October 4 to 15, 2023.

Furthermore, please note the deadlines for module registration. For alllanguage moduleslisted in the FÜS catalog, there is a participant restriction  (registration deadline: October 2-15, 2023). Please register for all other modules in the Info-Portal Lehre from October 16 to November 5, 2023.

Secure your place in the language course of your choice before October 15, 2023! All language courses will begin October 23, 2023.
