Study social work interculturally and across borders
This offer is a bi-national course of studies in social work, which is carried out in cooperation with the Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara (Romania).
Profile of the binational study program
The program builds on the general social work program (B.A.) at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. It is characterized by integrated subject-specific content, such as a focus on intercultural or migration-sensitive and international social work. The core of the study program is a funded phase abroad (1 year), which is prepared by special foreign groups and language courses.
Studying this profile will allow you to:
- an intercultural or international profile
- examination of culture- and migration-specific topics
- supported experiences abroad in a regular period of study
- a professional underpinning of the stay abroad through:
- preparatory groups,
- linguistic and regional seminars,
- internship supervision,
- and binational project work.
After successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded the double degree B.A. Social Work by both partner universities.
