Centre for barrier-free studies

The Center for Accessible Studies is located on the Cottbus Sachsendorf campus in building 10, room 202, and on the Senftenberg campus in building 11, room 207, where, among other things, assistive technology can be used for blind and visually impaired students as well as for students with physical disabilities. In regular working group meetings, a supportive study organization, the preparation of study materials, and the realization of disadvantage compensation to compensate for the additional needs caused by disabilities are carried out.

Through the mediation of the Center, a recumbent room is made available on the Cottbus Sachsendorf campus for university members with disability-related additional needs.

Workplace for visually impaired users in the Information, Communication and Media Centre (IKMZ)

The library on the central campus offers visually impaired users a PC workstation with special hardware and software on the 6th floor (Carrel 7), which can be used by arrangement with the Centre for Accessible Studies and registration in the library.
