Great-Engineers

An important aspect of science is the communication of knowledge and stimulation of interest in the subject. Appealing and modern methods have to be found for this. This applies particularly to the quite young discipline of construction history.
The project Great-Engineers communicates construction history on two levels. The first level concentrates on students working out portraits of interesting and prominent engineers in history. They focus on getting to know methods of scientific working and the engineers and their individual works and constructions. The second level produces portraits of the engineers which become part of the online encyclopedia „Great-Engineers“. Every person interested in the history of architecture and construction history has the opportunity to inform himself about individual personalities and scientific research results as well as finding information for further investigation.
