
DAAD Visiting Researcher
Dr. Deena El-Mahdy is an Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering at the British University in Egypt and currently a DAAD-funded visiting researcher at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Her work focuses on sustainable materials, digital fabrication, and 3D-printed construction using natural resources like salt and earth. She is also the founder of Cairo Heritage School, promoting the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic architecture.
