Contents

The important mechanisms, their influencing variables and interactions under application of FE-software are explained. Temperature field, microstructure transformations. Diffusion of gases in metals. Modelling and simulation of joining residual stresses and deformations, distortion optimisation. Application of simulation for the solution of joining problems. Presentation of FE programs.
