Contents

The important mechanisms of temperature propagation, thermodiffusion and thermomechanics, their influencing variables and interactions using FE-software are explained.

Part 1

Basics of modelling and simulation. Thermophysical material properties. Modelling and simulation of temperature fields, microstructure formation, diffusion of gases in metals. Presentation of FE programs. Application of simulation for the solution of technical problems.

A deepening of the knowledge is achieved by means of practical exercises on the computer.
