Contents

Metallurgy of the weld seam, gas absorption and effect. Joining suitability of high-strength structural steels (alloy concepts, properties) and high-alloy steels (Cr-steels, CrNi-steels, Ni-base alloys). Joining suitability of non-ferrous metals and material combinations - mixed joints. Welding consumables (alloying concepts, properties). Technological testing of joining suitability (hot and cold crack test).
