DiMe-Sozial | Journal for Social Work, Media and Digitalisation

DiMe-Sozial | Social Work, Media and Digitalisation is a Diamond Open Access journal focusing on the challenges facing the profession and discipline of social work as a result of the digital transformation. The journal is published biannually. Submissions undergo a quality-assuring peer review process before publication. The journal creates a space for discourse in order to bring together Social Work perspectives on the subject area. This opens up the opportunity for discussion in addition to Media Pedagogy approaches. The aim is to provide an opportunity for exchange on questions of Social Work theory and practice through technological developments, social implications and to bundle these discourses.

  • The journal DiMe-Sozial | Social Work, Medien und Digitalisierung provides a space to discuss questions of social work theory formation in relation to media and digitalisation.

  • It provides information on empirical findings and research activities in the subject area.

  • It provides an insight into (practical) projects, methodological approaches and challenges of the Social Work profession in its various fields of action.

  • The journal offers students the opportunity to publish their theses and thus establish themselves in the scientific community and enrich it with innovative research questions and explorative findings.
