13947 Seminar Empirical Business and Economics Research

Learning Outcome

After participating in the module, students are able to conduct their own small empirical business and economics research projects, starting with the development of the research question, data collection or search of secondary data, a simple data preparation and analysis, and ending with a summary report and interpretation of the results.

Content

Based on the planning and execution of their own project (the currently available project topics are announced on the department's website), from the concretization of the research questions and the development of hypotheses, to the planning and execution of data collection and data analysis, to the presentation and discussion of the results, students in this module deepen their knowledge and experience in empirical business and economics research. Practical problems are the main focus. Appropriate skills are developed during project-specific consultations.
