Bachelor thesis
The preparation of the Bachelor thesis and its successful defense conclude the Bachelor program. The Bachelor thesis is also a module (12 LP, module description module 12333) and must therefore also be registered at the student secretariat at the beginning of the processing.
According to § 23 and § 24 of the RahmenO-Ba as well as § 8 paragraph (4) of the Examination and Study Regulations for the Bachelor's Degree Program in Computer Science, please note:
- The Bachelor thesis can only be done after successful completion of all compulsory modules of the basic studies. In addition, at least 126 credit points must have been achieved.
- The Bachelor thesis will be handed out by a university lecturer of the Institute of Computer Science who will supervise you during the process. Talk to the eligible supervisors early on, so that they can take the required modules in the specialized studies, if necessary.
- The registration of the bachelor thesis in the Student Services is done with the form "Registration and submission of the thesis".
- You have four months to complete the work. An extension of one month can be requested from the examination board, stating the reasons. The application must be submitted no later than two weeks before the agreed submission date.
- Three copies of the Bachelor thesis must be handed in on time at the Student Services Office to the person responsible for your course of study.
- You must certify in writing that you have written the thesis independently and that you have not used any sources or aids other than those indicated, and that you have marked citations(text of the declaration of independence).
- The second opinion can be written by a member of the department.
